Holiday lights in Chicago tonight.   Macy's storefront.

We had a dinner with family at my parent's farm in Wisconsin.  She ordered a Buche de Noel cake which came with candied cranberries on top. It was delicious!   Decorations on a side table. I also went to a German Christkindlmarket in Chicago. One shaped like a tear drop hand painted in Austria with a wolf, some rabbits and birds.  Another from Germany decorated with pearls.

Yesterday I helped one of my daughters move to a new place.  Here we are packing her bedroom. And bathroom.  Just moving across town in Chicago.  Here is her old view.

A highlight of summer is the local farmers' market.  I always love a good farmers' market.   Being in the Midwest, summer brings a bounty of fruits and vegetables as well as local meats, cheeses, handmade breads and soaps. Loving these handmade natural soaps. Jake's Meats from Michigan is where I stock up on Great Lakes wild caught fish and pork, chickens and more.
